This is where I work

This is the university of Applied Sciences in Wädenswil ... across the lake from where I live.
The campus is beautifully situated with a view over the lake.


The university is a centre for life sciences - Biotechnology, Food Technology, Environmental Engineering - and Facility Management. As from October 2006, there will also be a new study programme taken over from another university - Chemistry.

This is the small village where I live.

It's about 20 minutes from Zurich, so it's near the city as well as being nicely in the countryside.

There are only about 4,000 inhabitants.


I'm afraid the picture isn't that good - it's a pretty little place, especially when the sun's shining!

Here's a picture of my children with their respective partner's at my daughter's wedding.
This was the civil ceremony. The church ceremony took place two weeks later.

So, left is my daughter Barbara, then her husband Stefan. Next to Stefan is Andrea, my son's girlfriend and on the right is my son Thomas.

This was in 2004. We half expect to have another wedding next year - who knows ...

Hi, this is me taken quite recently.

I'm from England, but have been living in Switzerland since 1972. We came here from England expecting to stay for about two years and then move on to Norway - but we got stuck here!
